The Website is made available by EZ-CPE LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a provider of online CPE courses and continuing professional education for Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

By visiting this Website and requesting information, products, or services offered on or through this Website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, as they may be amended from time to time. As Company updates or expands its Website, services, or products, this Privacy Policy may change and the changes are effective upon posting. Please check back frequently for updates, as it is your sole responsibility to be aware of changes. Company does not provide notice of changes in any manner other than by posting the changes at this Website. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and part of, the Website Terms and Conditions which govern your use of this Website in general.

This Website is intended for users who are located in the United States of America. This Privacy Policy shall be interpreted under the laws of the United States.

Purpose of the Privacy Policy

This Policy describes the information collection, use, and dissemination practices of Company, its parent, subsidiaries, and registered d/b/a companies (collectively referred to as “Company”) and all related websites owned or registered to Company. Company provides online CPE courses, CPE credit tracking, and continuing education for CPAs and other licensed professionals, and this Policy governs Company’s right to collect, use, store, and disclose information provided by you on (a) this Website, (b) Company’s other websites, (c) various third-party websites, and (d) Company’s other information collection and distribution practices, including the acquisition of your information from and to third parties. Company is not responsible for the information collection or privacy practices of third-party websites or applications that Company does not own or control.

By providing us with personal information about yourself on our Website or in the course of using our services, you consent to the collection and use of that information as described in this Policy.

1.0 Collection of Information

1.1 User Direct Information

Each time you provide or transmit information via the Website, Company may obtain and collect personal information about you, including, but not limited to, your name, email address, mailing address, and telephone or cell phone number (collectively, “Personal Information”).

1.2 Survey Information

Company may collect Personal Information from you when you voluntarily complete a Company survey, order form, or registration page, either online or offline. In such surveys, Company may ask for your name, email address, street address, telephone number, occupation, licensing or credential information, and such other information as may be requested from time to time. Completing a survey is entirely voluntary, and you are under no obligation to provide this information.

1.3 Other Methods of Collecting Personal Information

Other occasions when Company obtains information from you include: (1) when you request assistance through Company’s customer service or support team, and (2) when you voluntarily subscribe to a Company service, course, or newsletter.

1.4 Cookies and Other Information Collected Using Technology

Company currently uses cookie technology to associate certain internet-related information about you with information about you in its database.

Cookies. “Cookies” are a feature of your browser software. If enabled, we may store small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to this Website. Cookies help us understand which features and content are most useful to you, remember your preferences, and keep you logged in between visits. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, although some features of the Website may not function properly without them.

IP Addresses. Company automatically collects certain information based on your activity on the Website, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This information helps us understand site usage, detect and prevent fraud or spam, and improve the Website. Your IP address alone does not identify you by name.

Computer Profiles. Company may collect anonymous technical data — such as browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and referring domain — to help us understand and improve the experience of visitors to the Website.

1.5 No Information Collected from Children

Company does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If Company learns it has inadvertently collected Personal Information from a child under 13, that information will be deleted from our records.

1.6 Payment Information

If you purchase a course or service through the Website, Company collects payment information (such as credit card details) as necessary to process your transaction. Payment information is transmitted using SSL encryption and is processed through our third-party payment processor; Company does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.

2.0 Use of Personal Information

Company uses Personal Information to: provide the CPE courses, CE certificates, and continuing professional education services you request; process payments; maintain your CPA CPE/CE completion records for NASBA and state board reporting purposes; communicate with you about your account, courses, and support requests; and, if you’ve opted in, send you occasional newsletters or course updates by email.

Email and Unsubscribe Policy. If you receive marketing or newsletter emails from us and wish to stop, you may unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any such email, or by emailing us at support@ez-cpe.com.

Solicited Email. Company only sends marketing email to individuals who have agreed to receive it. Company does not send unsolicited commercial email.

3.0 Disclosure of Information

Service Providers. Company may share your Personal Information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Website and deliver our services — for example, website hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and CPE/CE recordkeeping or reporting to bodies such as NASBA where required. These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services on our behalf.

Aggregate Statistics. Company may share aggregate, de-identified statistics about Website usage — such as overall traffic patterns or course completion rates — that do not identify any individual user.

Legal Process. Company will disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our users, or others.

Business Transfers. If Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your Personal Information.

We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4.0 Privacy Practices of Third Parties

Links. The Website may contain links to third-party websites. Company is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

5.0 Foreign Use of the Website

If you are accessing the Website from outside the United States, please note that your information will be collected and stored in the United States, and by using the Website you consent to this transfer and storage.

6.0 Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, both online and offline. Company uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect data transmitted through the Website, including payment information. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and Company cannot guarantee absolute security. Access to your information is limited to those who need it to perform their job functions.

7.0 Your Choices

8.0 California Consumer Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under California law, including the right to request information about, or deletion of, the Personal Information we hold about you. To make such a request, please contact us at support@ez-cpe.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
